Colombia | Hybrid systems along the Pacific Coast and internal remote areas to power small villages off-grid

ImageEl Gobierno Nacional para hacer realidad esta iniciativa ha realizado una inversión de 15 mil millones de pesos”. “The National Government invested 15 mil mill pesos to develope this project [about 8.5 Mil USD] said Carlos Eduardo Neira Estrada, General Director of the Ipse [Instituto de Planificación y Promoción de Soluciones Energéticas para las Zonas No Interconectadas], the governmental Agency for the planning and development of energy sollutions to off-grid communities. 5.000 people in the regions of Titumate (Chocó), Nazaret and Puerto Estrella (La Guajira) and the insular villages in Costa Caribe are now benefiting of regular power supply at their homes and small commercial premises.
